This program is ideal for the team sport athlete who is looking for a challenging off-season training program, or the serious fitness buff looking for a new intense challenge.
The RAY LEWIS 52 DAY FITNESS CHALLENGE
This program is a well balanced innovative fitness program that will allow you to improve your overall fitness level whether you are just starting out or have been working out intensely for years. Wherever you are this program can help you reach the next level; all you need is a deck a cards, your program guidelines, some hand weights, a jump rope and some motivation. The program allows you to play your way to fitness. Join the movement.
In this program, Ray Lewis shares his philosophy of using muscle confusion to achieve fitness gains and a version of his own system for training with a deck of cards. This program addresses all the areas of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular strength, muscular endurance, basic function and flexibility. It also allows participants to work on agility, power and speed. RL52 Cycling’s 52 day fitness challenge will allow players to safely progress and have fun doing it. The program allows an element of chance through the drawing of cards each day as specified in your in your 52 day plan while still controlling and monitoring the time, type, sets and reps players will be doing to avoid injury and overtraining. FITNESS CHALLENGE PROGRAM LEVELS:
RL52 Rookie: This program is designed for the sedentary person who wants to get into shape but doesn’t know where or how to start. If you have the desire to make a healthy start in the New Year this is the place to start. This balanced program will prep the body and help clients achieve a base level of cardiorespiratroy fitness, balance, muscular endurance and strength. An end goal for these 52 days will be to prepare the body and mind for fitness training and to better a client’s health. (Phase 1-2 for the first 52 days) (Phases 3-4 for the renewal 52 days)
RL52 Amateur: This program is designed for the fitness enthusiast who is already working out, but doesn’t have a real plan. If you already make it to the gym or go for a walk or a run at least 3 times a week and are maintaining some level of fitness, this is the place to start. This program will help motivate you and give you a balanced fitness challenge that will push you to the next level.
RL52 Pro: This program is designed for the serious fitness enthusiast or athlete who has already been working out intensely on a regular basis. If being has been a lifestyle choice for you and you feel confident about completing challenging workouts already this is the place to start. Athletes and die-hard fitness fanatics who are looking for a new challenge that will produce results; this is the program for you.
RL52 CYCLING'S PRE-SEASON CONDITIONING PROGRAM
This is an advanced level program that is designed for team sport athletes to incorporate into their pre-season training regimens. If you are a team sport athlete: whether it be football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse or baseball you know that being conditioned helps you avoid injury and leads to on field performance. If you are looking for an intense pre-season conditioning program to give you an edge on your competition this year this is program is for you. This balanced intense program you can do anywhere and it is designed to push you to reach beyond your limits to achieve an optimal level of aerobic and anaerobic fitness and be ready for the continuous stresses of in-season work.
CYCLING FOR TEAM SPORT ATHLETES
All team sports athletes need to develop aerobic and anaerobic fitness to perform. Depending on the sport and the position, the balance between aerobic training and anaerobic training will vary. However, all athletes, from beginners to professionals hope to balance their training just right so that they can be optimally conditioned for sports specific performance. Team sport athletes’ bodies undergo a tremendous amount of stress and impact just given the nature of most sports. The continuous pounding of running, sprinting, speed and agility workouts are necessary to condition the muscles to move optimally for sports specific performance. Ray Lewis and RL52 Cycling coaches, developed a revolutionary cross-training program using the age-old tool - the bike.
Cross-training for athletes is not a new concept. However, few team sports athletes have any real exposure to the overall conditioning benefits that can be achieved through intense and focused cycling workouts. The workouts offered in RL52 Cycling’s Pre and Post Season Baseball Program are in no way intended to replace sports-specific training. Rather, they are designed to enhance an athlete’s ability to reach the next level. Cycling’s conditioning benefits, will without question, make athletes energy systems stronger and keep them in the game longer. A fitter athlete is a better athlete, no matter what the sport.
This program that is in no way intended to replace a complete conditioning program and comes with a free phone consultation to discuss implemetnation. Coaching Services
RL52 Cycling offers personalized coaching for cyclists, triathletes and team sport athtletes looking to take their game to the next level. Monthly personalized coaching with an RL52 Cycling coach costs $99 a month. Clients will go through an initial phone consultation with thir coach to set up an effective plan based on the clients individual goals. There are no initial start up fees. With this program clients receive:
- Unlimited email contact with their RL52 Cycling Coach
- 1 initial phone consultation and 1 follow up phone consultation per month
- Montly customized training programs provided through Raylewis TrainingPeaks
